In 2017, the Danish-Italian design duo GamFratesi collaborated with Louis Poulsen to create Yuh. Originally introduced in black and white, the collection expanded to include editions featuring brass and marble. Yuh is designed to be personal and adaptable, with the ability to rotate, rise, and lower to illuminate any desired area while occupying minimal space.
The lamp's distinctive shade is geometrically determined by its movement along the stem, transitioning from a circular shape at the bottom to a linear opening at the top. This minimalist design is both functional and aesthetically pleasing. The name Yuh is phonetically derived from 'you', symbolizing the sound made by the voice when saying the word "you".
