The glass is mouth-blown using three layers, each of which imparts a different characteristic to the finished product. The outermost layer of clear glass determines the lamp's basic color. The middle layer of opal glass provides a soft, diffused glow for a comfortable ambiance, while the inner layer of white glass ensures a high degree of light reflection.
