The Panthella floor lamp emits a soft and comfortable illumination, which is given out through in injection moulded white opal acrylic shade. The dome shade is a basic and yet stylish feature that gives the floor lamp a unique and traditional style. The finish material, however, hints more toward a modernistic theme and therefore makes the lamp quite fitting in any circumstance.
Weighing in at 5 kg, with a maximum of 5.7 kg, the lamp proses a sturdy finish and can be permanently fixed in its placement because of its weight. However, it can also be moved about the room as one may please, to fit with the ever changing tastes of the owner.
Verner Panton designed the Panthella floor lamp with the intention of giving off a light reflection in a downward direction. The way it is made spread the light diffusely into the room, seemingly from the actual surface of the lampshade.
The shade is made of injected moulded white opal acrylic, while the base and housing are made from white injection moulded ABS. The stem of the lamp, is kept simple with a white steel material. The lamp is controlled through an on/off switch cord, with an attaching cable, reaching up to 2.5 meters in length.
The Panthella floor lamp is a branch of the Panthella collection, which can be used with one another to create a sense of synonymity and coherence. However, it can also be used on its own, to create an individual source of light throughout the room, to make a simplified and blossoming beacon in any room in the house.
